WAM News

With lock-down easing over recent weeks a core team of museum volunteers have been working behind the scenes carrying out repairs and preparing the museum for re-opening, following several months of closure due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

One of the main tasks has been to refurbish the museum floor which was starting to show it’s age from wear and tear, not unlike most of us..

Below the boys get to work the cleaning the museum with the help of our “super extended vacuum hose”, repairing the floor joints and re-painting the floor in preparation for re-opening.

The main floor area is re-painted and now looks the business..

There are still things to do before we can re-open the museum but we feel we’re now in the home straight and hope to be able to let the public in again soon.

All of our work is carried out by volunteers and we rely on donations from the public to help fund these activities, if you would like to support us you can do so by donating securely using our Give as You Live page via link below, many thanks from all the team.
